 HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY CREAM

Following the success of Creamfields, James Barton and his team are set to celebrate being 8 years old! All that dancing amidst 45,000 people at a Liverpool airport for the last two Summers has made him look a little older than 8 we admit, but 8 it is this year!

James sold socks on a market stall in Liverpool 10 years ago and like the rest of us got bitten by this new wave of music that was seeping up from the underground - strange electronic beats that made us dance and warehouses where scruffy people in hooded tops went to SERIOUSLY sweat. Always an entrepeneur from his days of selling socks to his days of being head of the biggest club brand in the world, James saw a window of opportunity and decided to organise a few of those parties for himself. Viola Cream was born and 8 years on James can feel proud to lick his whiskers!

Cream is going from strength to strength, not only has Nation in Liverpool been selling out every Saturday night for the last eight years, but DJ's such as Paul Oakenfold and Seb Fontaine have gone on to become global superstars following their long term residencies on Cream's hallowed decks. Cream is now a Global enterprise, the latest country to swoon in Cream's wake is Buenos Aires who like Liverpool invited Cream to organise their Millennium festivities last year and next year plan to hold their own Creamfields festival.

Of course there's much more, platinum selling compilations and a clothing range at Top Shop the UK's leading high street retailer to name a few, but none of this would be possible without the dedication and loyalty of Cream's fans who week in, week out make their way to Cream to celebrate the weekend.

Cream will be celebrating their 8th birthday with one of the strongest line-ups you'll see in a club this year. On October the 13th they'll be joining with their friends Bugged Out to bring you some of Friday's favourites for the musical connoisseurs and on the 14th the party is their very own where all the Saturday residents will be returning to blow the roof right off!
